1. Did you date someone from your school?
No, we (the foreign exchange students) were actually specifically told that this would be bad form, as we would be leaving soon and only cause heart ache for everyone involved.

2. Did you marry someone from your high school? No.

3. Did you car pool to school? European here. No driving before 18. Also no money to pay car/insurance/gas (about 5 x more expensive than where you are).

Does sitting in the same car as my host sister count?

4. What kind of car did you have? Is this some kind of anti-European meme??

5. What kind of car do you have now? I have an ancient Peugeot bicycle.

6. It was Friday night...where were you then? I DON't have a ... oh, a non-car question? Right. Friday night. *clears throat* In the US? Pizza and a movie, ancient family tradition. Or so I was told.

7. It is Friday night...where are you now? On the brink of exhaustion.

8. What kind of job did you have in high school? When in the US, none, no work permit. In Germany, none, as it would be rather unusual, and mostly illegal, to be working at that age. I did have private cleaning jobs right after high school.

9. What kind of job do you do now?  Customer Service Administrator - with loads of added tasks as of lately. I only got two hands!

10. Were you considered a flirt? No, I think I was rather Hermione-ish, right down to the hair.

11. Were you in band, orchestra, or choir? I am rubbish at music. I like to listen to it, but my mother, who sings in two choirs and even leads one of them, has not passed on her talent to me. I did participate in art exhibitions and contests, though.

12. Were you a nerd? In Germany I was good average, loads of people were much more nerdy than I. In America with all those pre-fabricated multiple choice/true and false exam questions and loads of time on my hands, I was suddenly always on the honor roll. It might have motivated me that seniors who had an A in a subject got excempt from the final exam... Even got one of those red tassle thingies to wear around my neck at graduation.

13. Did you get suspended or expelled? No. Quite goody two shoes.

14. Can you sing the fight song? What's a fight song? We had a pep rallye once, but that involved mostly yelling as far as I recall.

15. Who was/were your favorite teacher?
Mrs. Adams, Psychology, Health and French.

16. Where did you sit during lunch? As our school was too small to have a cafeteria, we had lunch in our home rooms or outside at the "senior" picnic tables. No such luxury as lunch in Germany. Gotta wait til you come home. If that's at 5 pm - tough.

17. When did you graduate? 1996 in Pennsylvania, 1998 in Berlin

18. What was your school mascot? The Crusader

19. If you could go back and do it again, would you? I had a good time in America. If I could go back with my knowledge and experience - sure, what fun!

20. Did you have fun at Prom? what was the song?  We had a "Junior-Senior Banquet" as dancing was not allowed (eeevil!) It was a very nice evening. Erm, song?

21. Do you still talk to the person you went to Prom with? Haven't been in contact since the late 90s.

22. Are you planning on going to your next reunion? I wanted to go to the two last ones. They forgot to invite the exchange student to the first one. The second one I could not go to because my host sister's wedding was three weeks earlier and I did not have enough vacation and money for two trans-Atlantic trips in such short order.

23. Do you still talk to people from school? I found a few on facebook just recently, I talk to my host family occasionally. I am in quite close contact with my two best friends from German high school.

24. What are/were your school's colors? Red, White and Blue. What else? ;) No school colours in Germany.

Oh well, so much for being awake and alert at 1 am!

I know I am a bit late, at least for this time zone - appears to become a chronic condition with me. My only excuse is that lordofclunn had conquered and successfully occupied The New Desk. For several hours.

So finally I get to post my appreciation for dynonugget, who has become a very special friend for me.

1. She is a brilliant writer, not only has she great plots, but she always transports so much emotion in her stories and delivers such high quality consistently, that I can only look on in envy and astonishment.

2. She is very caring and surely one of the friendliest people I know!

3. She is one awesome beta, very thorough, attentive and (my fragile soul thanks you) always gentle.

4. She always goes the extra mile.

5. She juggles so many things in her life, both LJ and RL that I suspect she has gotten her hands on a time turner. Probably even Ministry approved for all the great work she does for the wizarding world.
