*sigh*

Although I will have internet until Sunday, it is quite clear by now that today is the last day for me to actually have time to use it for leisure purposes.

We have six suitcases packed, a whole lot of stuff still all over the house and I really am beginning to wonder how smooth this move is going to be.

On Sunday we will remove all the furniture and all other things, then unload suitcases and Missy Clunn at my friend's house, go back and clean.

On Monday we will then check into our Gatwick hotel (which has a swimming pool! YAY!) the plan is to spend Tuesday in Brighton and for Tani's sake the sun better show up.

*shakes fist at English weather*

Wednesday we are going to fly out. We will arrive at 2:20 am - it makes me tired just thinking about that.

On a very happy note: My ebook reader arrived today! And besides the standard classics like Shakespeare and Austen, it has all of the HP books on it! It's karma! A good omen! The stupid flight can be as long as it wants to be now!!

Now I will spend the rest of my internet time downloading fanfiction into the reader. *puddle of joy*

See you all... er... in a while.

A while back I asked mu Mum whether I could use certain events in a story that she owns the rights to. Now she wanted to know what came of it and I filled her in about fanfiction.

Instead of saying that I am doing strange things I could literally hear her shrug when she said:

"Oh, you've been doing this for ages!"

Huh? Care to elaborate?

Apparently, I had a bit of an obsession with the 'Odysee' when I was about eight years old. No, I don't claim to have read Homer at that age. I watched the film with Kirk Douglas as Odysseus.

I liked playing with my Mum's old type writer at the time and I must have written a story about Odysseus not leaving Circe's island but staying there, having to take on a boring office job (!) since Circe was feeling he was getting too lazy with her providing everything by means of magic. o_0

My Mum says it was about one page long and she still has it somewhere. I only have very fuzzy memories of this.

Now Tania has written her first story. And she didn't even ask for spelling help. This is it:

If you can't make out what it says, it goes like this:

The Rainbowfish

Once upon a time there was a fish called Rainbow.

The end.

:-)

Today she painted a picture of "Rainbow Cat". I see a series coming on :)

So I actually sat down to watch the newest episode of Supernatural.

Sam and Dean find out that there is a guy who is receiving visions of all their adventures and publishing them as the "Supernatural" paperback series.

They read the books and are totally appalled. Then they research on the internet...

"There are people here who write stories about us being together!"

"They know that we are brothers?"

"Doesn't seem to matter..."

It's the first time I heard references to fandom and fanfiction in the show itself. Is the power of fanfiction finally being recognized?

I also rather liked this:

"Fiery demonic passion??"

Author: "Well, it's the first draft..."
