Uncoffined has made it past seconding and is now an official nominee for Best WIP!

A huge thank you to everyone, who has seconded!

There are six stories in this category and when I read the other author's names and titles I just want to crawl under my fluffy duvet on the couch and hide until voting is over.

Alas, hiding is not allowed and I implore you all: go to [livejournal.com profile] dramione_awards and read, enjoy, vote...

I didn't even know the story would be eligible!

So, er, yeah...

GO VOTE!

Sorry. Bit overexcited. I don't really know whether you can already vote.

Nominated!

First of all: Thank you so much for reading and reviewing! I bounce around the house mad with joy whenever I receive one!

Does anyone know whether this thing about not answering reviews within chapters on AFF was just a temporary attempt to get people to use the forums?

I don't mind putting review responses on LJ but I like having everything in one place...

Anyhow, anonymus commenting is enabled, in case you would like to drop me a line but don't have an LJ. Or would like to hide. (I don't bite ;))

Insolence  - Feel free to squeal at any point of time J Draco lowered the wards on purpose. I think Hermione apparating out was the last straw. He knows that either side will see him as a traitor/enemy and he decides to face the music. He’s probably not quite thinking straight either.

Vegr_dvergrinn_Legolas  - There you go! Different from what you expected? Did you like it?

SomewhatGlutinous  - I think Hermione was planning on telling him, but the shock and impact of the fact that she is pregnant was a bit much. Both of them were at the end of their nerve. But there is a purpose for her staying away. Nobody besides the Weasleys knew who Jeanne was, turning back into Hermione made it possible to use what little leverage her name still held to help him. Would she have run with him, they would have labelled her a traitor, too.

mirrorofrapture – I hope you liked this one! I am sorry about the delay, I had to re-write, and RL kicked in... But I think I am back on track.

Dreamweaver  - Apparating out was a split decision, would she have waited any longer, he could have made her stay. I hope you liked this chapter. Draco finally found out about Hermione, but getting back together looks like a rather stoney path...

RZZMG  - There you are! I hope you liked this one – can’t wait to hear what you think!

lemonade8  - Well, they didn’t kill him, trying to be better than the other side and all that, but many would have liked to see him kissed.

appleblossum24 – Hermione would never just leave him to rot or deny him knowledge of his child, but circumstances are not the best at the moment...

chyara  - It took a little longer than planned, I hope you like it J

Ksasera – Wow! Thank you! Let me know what you think of the development!

sleeping_neko – There you go! I hope you enjoyed this chapter!

swiss miss  - Good cliffies, eh? I hope the chapter was worth the wait?

Autumn  - LOL – your poor screen! Hermione’s decision to run was quite a panicked spur-of-the-moment thing, but not as idiotic as it may seem. The Death Eaters are finished. Were she found with him, it would have been be so much harder to help him. The wizarding world is prone to non-trials and pre-fabricated judgements, as we see in Sirius’ case.

SarahWhtiman – Good to see you! I am so happy you like the story so far! I added you to the alert list and friended you btw J

A big thank you for reading and reviewing! You make me bounce around every time I find a new review in my inbox!

margaritama  - Hi love! I am not sure whether this chapter relived the ache any. I think she wanted to reveal herself to him, but unexpected circumstances made her bolt.

Marie – I am so happy that you like the story. Can’t wait to hear what you think about this chapter!

RZZMG – Oh, Blaise was in on the game alright. He just realised that his betrayal was all for nothing as the Voldemort world crumbles around them.Better to get back into his friend’s good graces, who knows what it might be good for. Blaise is a Slytherin that covers all angles. As you can see, things are getting more complicated yet again.

Smurphy – Fate has Draco and Hermione on a very twisted path. She was ready to go back but something unexpected happened.

Insolence  - *munches on cookies* Really? Like, really?? I am planning on doing that, too. I’ll just go to a copy shop and have it printed and bound once I am finished posting. Will be nice to have it on my shelf. Hope you liked this chapter J

angeles  - YAY! I wonder what you think of this chapter. It is so difficult and complicated for them, now.

Devourer  - Everybody is constantly saving their own skin here. Right now, Draco has reached a dead end which he might not be able to get out of. I like your ideas for Marcus!

UnseenLibrarian  - Draco was trying his very best to redeem himself, but things are not going well for him at the moment.

SomewhatGlutinous – Thanks for reassuring me! Yes, Draco has been very distracted, which does not help at all, but the main reason for everything falling apart are the actions of the resistance. He simply doesn’t stand a chance with the lack of manpower. Voldemort’s reign was based on the assumption that the wizarding populous would be frightened into submission, too scared to really rebel.

Chocolatedoodle – Well, that would have been an interesting turn of events! But no, Draco needed to rescue her and the manor needed him to rescue her as well! I hope you are having a good Saturday!

Coco - *is tickled pink* Hermione is very, very affected by their relationship. Anybody would be after living with someone for quite some time and sharing such intimacy.

Michelle – Was this a surprise? I love surprising! Hope you liked it!

Dreamweaver  - I love knight-in-shining-armour-Draco as well! I must say, I feel for him right now. His life is slipping out of his grasp even more than it already had.

mirrorofrapture  - Thank you for making a review-exception for Uncoffined! I must admit that I had to look up ‘hokey’ and I am very glad that you find that the story is not J Hope you liked this one!

Hotbabe – I understand your sentiment. Draco is far from innocent, but he did get drugged and tricked by his so-called friends. Leave it to Slytherins to exploit each and every weakness they can find, be it in friend or foe. He did rescue her without regard as to how that would look to his fellow Death Eaters or that he was in grave danger himself.

swiss miss – And she ran once more. I hope you can forgive me. Please?

I must say, I feel a bit silly doing this - is anybody even looking this up?

Anonymus comments are enabled...

angeles - Thank you for reading and reviewing!! In this universe, everybody has an agenda and Hermione is turning the tables on them and using the situation to her advantage.

SomewhatGlutinous - Thank you! I was planning on looking at the things that you mentioned about chapter 9 and I promise I will not forget. RL happened, my husband came back from Germany and all of a sudden I found myself with zero time on my hands. I hope you liked seeing how the wizarding world is doing :)

lemonade - Thank you! Yes! All that played a part in what happened, as well as a spiked drink. Draco's friends are Slytherins and they know a weakness when they see one. Hurting her would not have been wise, but like this, the only person Draco can blame is himself and while it is beneficial to be on good terms with the High Reeve, but potentially getting the High Reeve kicked out and advancing their own career is even more attractive.

RZZMG  - Thank you! That's one of my favourite scenes, too. :)

chyara - Thank you so much for the nice review! I am glad I don't appear illiterate anymore! LOL I have a bookmark to an online dictionary for all the words starting with un- you would not believe the sheer volume! I was watching a Jack the Ripper documentary and somehow the word uncoffined was mentioned. Before I knew it, I was already writing. There are actually quite a few Jack the Ripper references, but nobody seems to have caught on...

coco - Thank you for reading and reviewing! As I mentioned to lemonade *points upward*, Draco is not exactly innocent, but he was also badly tricked by some of his his friends. At the same time, Hermione used the events for her own advantage. She could have stopped them, the contract would have let her out of the agreement at any time. But then, it is rather easy not to think straight in a situation like this. *cough* Yes.

margaritama - Thank you, thank you! The situation is hard on both of them. He used her, she used him. I guess you want to know whether this is a new beginning between the two of them after he rescued her? When was anything in this story easy or straightforward?

yanafava - Thank you! I hope you like dthis update :)

jaceni - Thank you! I think Draco is also pretty mad at himself. Did this chapter redeem him a bit?

nitesfool  - Wow! Thank you! Two oer three times a day? *whispers* I usually update Friday evenings or Saturdays, because RL has me in its clutches during the rest of the week... I liked the earring scene, too. I actually started with that one, working backward.

mrequecky - Thank you! Hope you liked this one!

Dreamweaver  - Wow, that is one awesome review! Thank you so much! I hope Draco could make it up to you a bit by rushing to Hermione's rescue?

Now, please someone tell me that I am not talking into empty cyber space here? Pretty please?

I've been asked by the moderators of AFF not to answer reviews within my chapter post but in the forum.

Well, let's just say the forum was not for me.

Please feel free to email me to receive an update email.

So there we go:

angeles - Thank you! I hope this was adventurous enough for the moment? More in the next chapter!

SomewhatGlutinous  - Thank you for the review and for the encouragement! Can you see now, why I was a bit anxious? Are you still talking to me? *looks slightly worried*

paigeey07 - Thank you! I hope you liked this one, it was a rather unexpected turn of events, I think.

SarahWhitman - Thank you! I agree, Draco would have probably rather indifferent towards the little girl. Jeanne does influence him. I see the woman with the choker as someone a bit older than Hermione, a member of the army of the Light, but noone she would know personally. With full out war breaking out and people having to chose sides, both the Light and the Dark must have had many, many more mebers than we know. This chance encounter just show how dangerous Hermione's position is - people, who don't know her personally would not understand what she is doing. I can't wait to hear what you think about this chapter!

mrequecky - Thank you for reading and reviewing! I hope you liked the update :)

RZZMG - LOL ! There you go! I hope you are still reading? Tell me how it was and thank you for the review! :)

Jen - Wow! Thank you for the nice review! I am doing my best as a non-native speaker and hope you keep reading :)

margaritama - Hiya! Thank you for the review :) I am a bit afraid to ask how you liked the updat. Too much angst?

Draco_Lover - SQUEE! Thank you! The choker is Hermione's (and Ginny's, Molly's, etc....) glamour device that makes her look different so she can hide in plain sight, so the woman recognised her as someone from the Light. Hermione's plan is becoming more and more dangerous, as we will see inchapter 10!
