Being 32 started out great. Just great.
A few days ago, somebody stole our fishing rod from outside our door.
THAT I can cope with.
Today, somebody stole the foot of my clothes airer.
Bloody hell!
I need the blasted airer and it does not work without a foot.
Now I have to buy a new one. That will set me back 10 - 20 £ Not a big deal, but if things keep disappearing like this...
Gah.
I will contact the letting agency and ask to install a lock on the gate. We live a few paces from the market square and people keep wandering into our garden because they want to see the river.
Very well. Just don't take my tomato plants with you on your way out!

No peppers, sadly ;)

btw, BELATED HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I can't even remember if I went online last night or not... but I hope it was an awesome birthday XD

I think the politically correct term is 'travellers'.
I investigated the gate and found there's already a lock! Now to get keys to be distributed to all of the tenants...
Thank you!

Happy Belated Birthday, by the way <3

You just can't do that here. In Philadelphia, people will steal anything that isn't securely fenced in or nailed down. I've had my bathmats stolen from the porch while they were hanging out to dry, and my neighbors have had potted plants disappear. Never mind my poor bike, which was stolen only a few days after I moved here.
Get some chain locks. Your things will stay put then. Either that or the potential thief will have to put in a lot more effort, such as purchasing and carrying bolt cutters, to steal your things. If they want it that badly, I say go ahead - better to steal (mostly) meaningless objects than anything worse than that.
But it would be nice if people just wouldn't steal at all... *sigh*

And they did so for one and a half years. Within the spamn of a week, several things have disappeared.
I do lock my bike, but there is simply no possibility to lock the foot of a clothes airer!

Just annoying.
Usually it's pretty safe. But to have two things stolen within a week...

Since you'll be moving, maybe you should put out things you don't want. That way you won't have to worry about getting rid of them later.

I actually thought about this!
