Get the Snape style

Today, I idly typed 'Snape' into the search function of eBay and what came up (among other quite curious things)?

A mug from Snape Maltings, decorated with two of my favourite things: the name of Snape and sailing boats. Naturally, I bought the mug. Hey, it's been raining all summer, I deserve a treat.

The seller's last name is Snape :) I knew that there was a village called Snape in England and even a Snape Castle but I had never heard of Snape Maltings before. I wanted to know more and searched Snape Maltings online, found their web site and was greeted with this image (do direct your gaze to the lower left corner of the screen shot):

Wow, I just did something I haven't done in ages.

I painted.

No, not the walls.

With paper and a more or less delicate paint brushes and my new tempera colours.

And I thought I'd have to give myself an extension for the luciusbigbang art I promised.

baby_clunn slept right through painting a raven patronus and finishing my LBB art.

Goodness I feel all high. Must be creative endorphins :)





I know, it's just a few brush strokes and took all of ten minutes to create but I have something specific in mind for it.
