School and other dinners

Ask an average seven-year-old child what they would like for tea and you will most probably hear:
"Chips!"
"Spaghetti!"
"Chocolate!"
"Chips!"
This is what Tania told me:
"Poached salmon with potatoes and vegetables."
"..."
And as an afterthought:
"With dill sauce."
Vot?
I had no idea just how much school dinners improved since Jamie Oliver has taken matters in hand...

When they faint, Tania can hardly contain herself.

Date: 2010-01-08 07:24 pm (UTC)We do eat these kinds of things when it's just the two of us, but when my husband's home, we usually cook biryani or some sort of curry (she loves chapatti).
I am happy that she eats non-junk food without complaining, but to request it? We must have done something right.
