I watched the first episode of "Trinity", a new series grandly advertised even in the cinema.
The setting is a (rotten to the core) University clearly fashioned after Oxford and Cambridge. The main male protagonist seems to be a wealthy, handsome, rich, spoilt, aristocratic brat, who is miraculously drawn to a new student, a rather plain, prissy know-it-all.
Yup. She even waves her hand in the air during lecture.
There is a bit of flickering light and a mystery as to why her father left Trinity all of the sudden after 10 years there.
It's a bit like Dramione go to Uni and find themselves in a Skulls crossover without the Hollywood budget.
At least they could have waited a few episodes with theHermione know-it-all looses virginity to Draco arrogant nobleman scene. Maybe the next episode will be better/scarier/more mysterious. So far I can't really see why this is supposed to be THE new gothic show on TV.

On another note, there are lots of spiders in England. Much more so than I have ever experienced in Germany. Now you will say: Arnika, you lived in Berlin, that's the city, now you live in a small town, that's nearly country-living. Okay, but my parent's house is surrounded by a garden that' positively huge for Berlin standards. And still. Not as many spiders as here.
All during the summer, there were hundreds in the flat, but they were rather small. I can deal with small. I can deal with medium sized.
Since first of September, the small and medium sized ones have disappeared. YAY!
YAY?
Well, the creepy, crawlies might have lessened in numbers, but the ones that I find now are hairy things that span the size of my palm!
My Finnish colleague told me to put conkers in my home. One per room.
I collected a whole bag-full and scattered them around EVERYWHERE.
I hope it helps.
*looks around nervously and places additional conkers on bedside table*
