2012 is off to a good start

I broke two (!) toes yesterday.

Ow.

ETA: I'm back from the orthopedist. He couldn't tape the toes together because they are next to each other. He was so nice not to put my foot into a cast but to give me a prescription for some sort of shoe thingy that will keep my toes safe and sound.

My poor foot is all black and blue...

Well, I cleaned the frying pan in the bath tub (the water problem is going strong for over one year now) and was in a hurry to get back to the kitchen.

Due to the pan in my hands my view of my path through the kitchen door was slightly compromised. Add to that, that my mother has placed a big box in front of the kitchen door on which she stacks towels and flannels, so the door is not really 'full size' anymore.

I caught my toes right on the door frame and heard the bones crack loudly before I went down pretty hard.

omg, I'm totally cleaning my dishes in my bath tub now too! My sink pipe had a huge hole in it, and my building Super took the faulty pipe but he never returned, so now I'm stuck washing dishes in the bathroom. It totally blows.

I'm really sorry that happened to you. You do so much. Well, maybe now you can take advantage of this injury and rest a bit.
