Alive but not kicking much of anything

We have arrived safely after a gruelling, long flight and an even more gruelling wait for the luggage in what seemed to be 132% humidity.

Recovering from motion-sickness tablets, stress, jet lag and general extreme change of climate has not exactly worked out as of yet. Ramadan makes it even more difficult, as the family stays up late and sleeps during the day, which of course Tania does not do. So she and I are the only ones up at the moment and I must say I'd much rather lay down right now.

It's bloody hot.

I better get this schedule thing fixed, since I just found out that my language course started two weeks ago (I missed 50!!!! hours of lessons!) and I will have to get on the bus to the university at effing 7 am from Monday.

Yes. This Monday. The day after tomorrow. Gah.

Will reply to emails and reviews and do my beta duties soon as well. Can't concentrate for long periods of time right now...

The start was actually much smoother than expected - I anticipated to have major problems on the train with ten pieces of luggage.

The sleeping is a bit of a problem, though. I had hoped to have about two weeks before starting University...

The area is about an hour from Islamabad, we visited some relatives in the coutry. The view from our house is not bad, but much more Urban :)

Goodness, it is so humid here, I could take a shower five times per day...

I am a bit afraid of the language course. I feel it's too early and I don't like being two weeks behind. In an intensive course, that's a lot.

Yay, she's alive and settled! This new place/area looks beautiful. It sounds like you guys have really been on a journey, so take care of yourself and rest before even thinking about fandom. What kind of language course are you taking?

It was quite exhausting. We had planned to spend one day in Brighton but the English weather decided to be typically English, hence it was cold and it rained. We spent the day in the hotel pool instead :)

The pictures show an outing to the countryside, The place where we are is very Urban, I'll try to get some good pictures of the house and the virew :)

I am going to learn Urdu, which is very similar to Hindi, but the writing is in Arabic letters.

Things went actually much better than I had thought :)

We had ten pieces of luggage and had to change trains twice. Good thing we had two nights at an airport hotel to recover from moving out of our flat and such.

The temperature here is actually not too bad but it's a humid heat, which I hope I will get used to at some point...

You poor thing, having to look after Tania yourself in the morning! Hard work. I feel bad for Mr Clunn too - fasting + jet lag /= happy times.

Well! We've got 55 paid members last time I heard, which is great considering we break even at 150. And we've put out the calls for paper and art, and we have a new committee member to focus on the Victory Ball. Everything's starting to come together. :)
