German Schools...
Jan. 12th, 2011 08:09 pm Since early this week, Tania is going to school in Germany. My old school to be exact. In the olden days, we got all our school books loaned and some we could even keep. (I still have a sort of atlas with totally politically incorrect wordings...)
Now, books have to be bought.
And colour pencils.
And very specific watercolours, which are horrendously expensive.
And all sorts of filers and paint brushes and desk covers and storage boxes for crafting supplies.
Tania gets three books on loan from the school because we moved to the catchment area in the middle of the school year.
And still I just spent about 100 EUR.
I feel very, very England-homesick right now.
And very skint.
